Esyline Low Battery Error Procedure
  • Category: Product

The LOW BAT warning is related to a low charge level of the battery included inside the display of your EsyLine Product.

This notification does not affect the pump performance, but can cause the loss of the local date and hour, generating, as a consequence, an inconsistent fault log (absence of correct date/hour). The LOW BAT is not a blocking error, but just a warning; it means that it is still possible to operate the pump during its presence. Normally, this warning can be observed while the pump is running.

ACTIONS/SOLUTIONS

Replace the battery inside the display with a new one. The battery is a standard lithium battery, available in the market. Battery specifications: lithium battery Type CR1225, 3V.

Below are the main steps to carry out the battery replacement. Also described in the instruction manual at paragraph 10.6 "Replacing the display battery":

1. Loosen the 4 screws at the corners of the panel using the accessory tool or a 2 mm hexagonal wrench.
2. Detach the display, taking care not to exert tension on the signal transmission cable, and disconnect the display from the signal transmission cable.
3. Remove the plastic protective cover from the display.
4. Separate the display board from the plastic base.
5. Replace the battery of the display board. (lithium battery type CR1225 3V)
6. Reassemble the board inside the base and put the cover back on.
7. Reconnect the display to the signal transmission cable.
8. Screw the display back onto the front wall of the pump using the 4 screws.

ROOT CAUSES

The battery included inside the display has a durability of approximately 2 years from the date the pump was manufactured.

Once the pump is powered, the power supply will ensure the battery remains operable indefinitely. If the pump is stored for 1.5 - 2 years or more after the manufacturing date without any use, it could lead to battery drainage and, consequently, the LOW BAT alarm. It is strongly recommended to avoid long-term storage of the pump after purchase.
