It depends on which version of ESYBOX mini3 you have.

The older ESYBOXmini3 version with Date code of N.1 N.2 or N.3 require the DConnect box or DConnect Box2 to connect the DAB Live ( free app) or the DConnect app subscription service.

The N 4 & N5 required as software update via the DConnect app to allow the direct connection to a wifi router and to the DAB Live app.

The N. 5 23 XX version requires no update to connect to the DAB Live app.

Or the Date code can be found on under the top cover on the ESYBOX mini3 or if you see an sticker above the top right of the screen that says update me via the app the you should have the N 3 or N4 version.


The software can only be updated using the DConnect App to connect to the Esyboxmini3

below are quick instructions.
Download and open the DConnect App,
click on Direct connection,
click on Esybox Mini Ver. 2 (Update only)
unplug the pump. Follow the instructions in the app
you will then have to plug the pump back in while holding both the MODE and DOWN buttons until the "Update via the App" screen appears
Then hold the up button until the house with the water drop appears in the top right of the screen.
The update will start and follow the instruction in the app. it will taken approx 3 to 5 mins

After the update you can use either the Free DAB Live App or the paid DConnect app to monitor the pump through the internet if you have connected your pump to a wifi router that is connected to the internet..

Press the Set Button so that the screen lights up

Then press the Mode & Set buttons at the same time for about 3 seconds until the SP parameter screen is entered.

Now you can use the Plus & Minus buttons to change the setting and the Set button saves it to memory.

The product is made and supplied with the capacity of being self-priming.

However there are cases in which the self-priming capacity is not necessary to use self-priming pumps. During priming the pump obliges part of the water already under pressure to return to the suction part until a pressure value is reached at delivery whereby the system can be considered primed.

At this point the recirculating channel closes automatically. This phase is repeated each time the pump is switched on, even already primed, until the same pressure value that closes the recirculating channel is reached about 14psi (1 bar).

When the water arrives at the system intake already under pressure, it is possible to force the closure of the recirculating pipe, losing the self-priming capacity.

This obtains the advantage of eliminating the clicking noise of the pipe shutter each time the system is switched on.

The system has an integrated check valve (NRV) which is necessary for the pump to work correctly.  The there is a presence of solid bodies or sand in the water this could cause the valve to stick and cause a malfunction in the system. Even if as recommended you only use clean water and or fit a filters on input over time it is possible for the check valve to stick, so if you notice abnormal operation of the non-return valve it can be extracted from the system and cleaned and/or replaced.

If you have incoming pressure from a municipal water supply of a flooded suction from a supply above the pump no you do not need to add a check valve to the suction pipe because there is a built in check valve on the discharge of the ESYBOX.

But if the pump has a suction lift then you need to fit a check valve of at least the pipe size (min 1") to the lowest point of th suction pipe.
