OK so the Smart Press starts on pressure so we are losing pressure in the system somewhere.
So how can we resolve the issue?
- Check for leaks in toilets or taps and or leaking pressure relief valve on boilers etc. as they can leak to drains.
- I would advise to install a small pressure thank on the discharge pipe work as this will allow for slight drips etc.
(The amount of water used from a tank will be approx. ½ the volume of the tank. (So in a 5 gallon tank you would need to use approx. 2 ½ Gallon for the pump to restart)
- The leak can be in the Check valve inside the Smart Press. So you can take out the check valve and clean it or you can fit an additional check valve (NRV)
To clean the check valve remove the unit from the system the remove the stainless steel screw the whole check valve can them be taken out through the top connection.
This will let you get to the NBR O' ring that makes the seal and stop the water from leaking back through the pump when the pump is off.
