It is possible to fill or empty a tank with a submersible pump or a sump pump. You should select the pump depending on the pumped liquid and the required duty. Our submersible pumps are ideal for filling water tanks, but they also serve for the water supply of single-family homes, irrigation of vegetable and gardens.

Submersible pumps are suitable for installation in tanks or even very deep wells. For example, our 4" submersible pump S4” ranges have a flow rates up to 122 gpm (27.7 m3/h) with head up to 1208 Feet (368 meters) with a water temperature between 32°F and 1043°F  (0°C and 40°C). These pumps can also work where there is a slight presence of sand as long as it does not exceed the value of 0.009 lb/ft3 (150 g/m3).If your need something more than is listed above, we recommend contacting your local distributor to request help selecting a pump.

Our 7" submersible pumps (e.g. the Dtron2, Dtron3 & ESYBOX DIVER series) meet the same needs but offer different characteristics, with flow rates up to 31.7gpm (7.2 m3/h), head up to 180 feet (55 meters), and liquids with sand up to 0.003 lb/ft3 (50 g/m3) and a maximum immersion depth of 49 feet (15 meters).

Other submersible sump and drainage pumps, like the NOVAseries and VERTY NOVA (for pumping gray water without filamentary bodies) are ideal for emptying water tanks as well as for drainage of water from basements and garages, for installation in rainwater collection and drainage wells or for draining water from tanks or rivers. These pumps have capacities up to 66 gpm (15 m3/h) with a maximum head of 30 feet (9.1 meters), withstand a water temperature between 32°F and 95°F  (0°C and 35°C), a maximum particle size of ½” (13 mm) and an installation at a maximum depth of 16 feet (5 meters). If the suspended bodies are up to 1 ½ “ (40 mm) in diameter, we suggest the use of our FEKAor FEKA BVP Ranges. These pumps are suitable for the drawing of waste water. Flow rates are up to 110 gpm 25 m3/h with a maximum head of 39feet (12 meters). The temperature of the liquid must be between 32°F and 95°F (0°C and 35°C), the maximum immersion depth can be 23 feet (7 meters).

It depends on the depth and diameter of the well.

If the well is larger than 4” and deeper than 25 feet. You will need to us a submersible pump like our 4" submersible pumpS4” ranges that have a flow rates up to 122 gpm (27.7 m3/h) with head up to 1208 Feet (368 meters) with a water temperature between 32°F and 104°F  (0°C and 40°C).

If the well is larger than 7” and shallower than 40 feet. You will can to us a submersible pump like our the (e.g. the Dtron2,Dtron3 & ESYBOX DIVERseries)with flow rates up to 31.7gpm (7.2 m3/h), head up to 180 feet (55 meters), and liquids with sand up to 0.003 lb/ft3 (50 g/m3) and a maximum immersion depth of 49 feet (15 meters).

If the well is less than 4 “ and is less than 29 feet you would need to use a surface self-priming JET, pump with flows up to 23 gpm (5.2 m3/h); head up to 213 ft (65 meters) in Liquids with a temperature between 32°F to +104°F (0°C and 40°C).

Pressure switches with adjustable differential

(Type G)

When setting the pressure switch, adjust the setting point on falling pressure

first, then the setting point on rising pressure.

• Setting point on falling pressure

The setting point on falling pressure is set by adjusting range-nut 1.

• Setting point on rising pressure

The setting point on rising pressure is set by adjusting range-nut 2.

− Check the voltage indicated on the left side of the voltage changer

− Turn the indicator so that the desired voltage points towards the left side with the “M” lock catch.

− The arrow on the converter next to the required voltage must be aligned with the “F” arrow on the housing.

− Push the coverter into position until the reference catch “M” clips in place.

The DAB Jet pumps can lift a maximum of 29ft.

It is always good practice to place the pump as close as possible to the liquid to be pumped.

The pump must be installed only in horizontal position. The internal diameters of the pipes must never be smaller than that of the mouth of the pump. It is advisable to fit a foot valve on suction.For suction depths of over 13 ft or with long horizontal stretches it is advisable to use an intake hose with a diameter larger than that of the intake aperture of the pump. To prevent the formation of air pockets, the intake pipe must slope slightly upwards towards the pump.

The Eswim pump is equipped with a display that can signal various types of error. The following table shows the error codes that can be displayed.

No electric power.

Check that there is voltage and that the connection to the power network is correct.

• The pump is not sucking:

No water in the pre-filter or clogged pre-filter.

Closed valve in the pipes.

Air getting into the suction pipe.

• The motor is not working:

The electric power supply or switch are turned off.

Motor electrical connections are faulty.

Impeller blocked by foreign bodies, shaft not turning.

• Noisy pump:

Air getting into the suction pipe.

Presence of foreign bodies in the pump body.

Cavitation.

Ball bearing damaged.

• Low flow rate: low pressure in the filter.

Basket or impeller clogged.

Air getting into the suction pipe.

Motor turning in the opposite direction.

• Low flow rate: high pressure in the filter.

Delivery pipe choked.

Inadequate section of the power supply cables.

Pump filter clogged.

The leakage current to earth is max. 3.5 mA. It is recommended not to use a GFCI unless it is listed as up to 30mA.. The overload must be adequately sized. When switched on for the first time, the device proposes to perform the WIZARD easy configuration, which guides the user in a fast and easy setting of the most important parameters. It is necessary to perform the WIZARD: the initial system status is that of the factory configuration, and in that the language and the units of measure may not be those used in your country, the weekly clock starts at a random time, and the other parameters may not be suitable for your system.

The ESYBOX DIVER can be connected to the internet through the DConnect Box2 that is supplied with the pump.

The DConnect Box 2 connects to the pump through the PLC Power Line Communication, through the power supply.

How the check the correct direction of rotation on a three phase jet pump.

The motor rotation direction may be inverted only in the three-phase motor pumps (230 & 460 volt). In single-phase pumps (115 & 230 volt) the motor always turns in the correct direction.

If the menu pages show a key at the bottom left it means that you cannot change the settings. To unlock the menus, go to the Home Page and press simultaneously the button next to the display and the button underneath the key until the key disappears. The EVOPLUS circulators offer two menus: user menu and advanced menu. The user menu is accessible from the home page by pressing and releasing the central “Menu” key. The advanced menu is accessible from the home page by holding down the central “Menu” key for 5 seconds.

The mode of operation can be chosen from six different types: ΔP-v proportional differential pressure adjustment mode, ΔP-c constant differential pressure adjustment mode, constant curve adjustment modes, constant differential pressure control mode with proportional control based on the water temperature, ΔT-c constant differential pressure control mode (function available with multifunction mode, and the economy mode.
ΔP-v proportional differential pressure adjustment mode
With ∆P-v adjustment mode, with the variation of the flow rate, the value of the delivery of the head also varies in a linear manner, from Hsetp to Hsetp/2. This adjustment is particularly indicated for the following systems:
a. Two-pipe heating systems with thermostat valves and with:
- head greater than 4 metres;
- very long circuit piping;
- valves with wide operating range;
- differential pressure regulators;
- high pressure drops in those parts of the system carrying the entirety of the water flow rate;
- low differential pressure.
b. Under-floor central heating systems with thermostatic valves and significant pressure drops in the boiler circuit.
c. Systems with primary circuit pumps with high pressure drops.
ΔP-c constant differential pressure adjustment mode
The ΔP-c adjustment mode keeps the differential pressure of the system constantly at the H set p value set, even in case of variation of the flow rate. This adjustment is particularly indicated for the following systems:
a. Two-pipe heating systems with thermostat valves and with:
- head lower than 2 metres;
- natural circulation;
- low pressure drops in those parts of the system carrying the entirety of the water flow rate;
- high differential temperature (central heating).
b. underfloor heating systems with thermostat valves
c. single-pipe heating systems with thermostat valves and calibration valves
d. Systems with primary circuit pumps with low pressure drops.
Constant curve adjustment modes
In this control mode, the circulator works based on constant speed characteristic curves. The operation curve is selected by setting the rotation speed using a percentage factor. The 100 % value indicates the maximum limit curve. The actual rotation speed may be affected by the power and differential pressure limitations of the actual circulator model. The rotation speed may be set using the display, or either a 0-10 V or PWM external signal, using the appropriate multifunction module. Control mode indicated for constant flow rate heating and air conditioning systems.
Constant differential pressure control mode with proportional control based on the water temperature (Function available with multifunction module) 
This adjustment is particularly indicated for the following systems:
a. - in variable flow rate systems (two-pipe central heating systems), in which a further reduction of circulator performance is provided in line with the lowering of the temperature of the circulating liquid, in case of reduced heating demand.
b. - in constant flow rate systems (single-pipe and under-floor central heating systems), where the performance of the circulator can only be adjusted by activating the temperature influence function. It is set through the EVOPLUS control panel.
ΔT-c constant differential pressure control mode (Function available with multifunction mode) 
The ΔT-c control mode keeps the pumped liquid at constant temperature, changing the flow rate to the Tsetp settable value. This adjustment is particularly indicated for the following systems:
- Under-floor heating systems.
- systems with primary circuit pumps.
- Systems with circuit pumps with heat exchanger.
- Solar energy systems with storage tanks.
- Solar panel swimming pool heating systems.
Economy Mode
The economy function can be set directly on the control panel, by setting a reduction value (f.rid), the maximum value of which can be 50%. In all the previously listed settings, the Hset value must be replaced with an Hset x f.rid.

The product is made and supplied with the capacity of being self-priming.

However there are cases in which the self-priming capacity is not necessary to use self-priming pumps. During priming the pump obliges part of the water already under pressure to return to the suction part until a pressure value is reached at delivery whereby the system can be considered primed.

At this point the recirculating channel closes automatically. This phase is repeated each time the pump is switched on, even already primed, until the same pressure value that closes the recirculating channel is reached about 14psi (1 bar).

When the water arrives at the system intake already under pressure, it is possible to force the closure of the recirculating pipe, losing the self-priming capacity.

This obtains the advantage of eliminating the clicking noise of the pipe shutter each time the system is switched on.

If you have incoming pressure from a municipal water supply of a flooded suction from a supply above the pump no you do not need to add a check valve to the suction pipe because there is a built in check valve on the discharge of the ESYBOX.

But if the pump has a suction lift then you need to fit a check valve of at least the pipe size (min 1") to the lowest point of th suction pipe.

An additional pressure tank is recommended to reduce stop starts while protecting the system from sudden pressure fluctuations/water hammer/risk of thermal expansion.

5. remove the spring from the shutter; insert the shutter in its seat again with the respective O-Ring (side with gasket towards the inside of the pump, stem with cross-shaped fins towards the outside);

6. screw on the cap after having positioned the metal spring in side so that it is compressed between the cap itself and the with cross shaped fins of the shutter stem. When repositioning the cap ensure that the respective O-Ring is always correctly in its seat.

7. fill the pump, connect the power supply, start the system.
